Xavier Leroi becomes COO Shipping at Wallenius Wilhelmsen
"I am very happy to announce that Xavier Leroi, our Chief Customer Officer, becomes COO Shipping and CEO of EUKOR,” says CEO Lasse Kristoffersen. Leroi has an extensive business background, including 25 years at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. He has held positions across the company: Shipping, Logistic and Customer Growth. He starts in his new position on November 1.
"I am grateful for the confidence and trust and look very much forward to these new responsibilities. My predecessor Erik Noeklebye has laid a solid foundation, all the people and resources are in place, I look forward to embarking on this next leg of our journey together with the team," says Leroi who has worked in Wallenius Wilhelmsen since 1997.
Leroi has held assignments in Asia, South Africa and Europe, in areas such as sales, business development and operations.
Foster talent, provide career opportunities
"When Erik Noeklebye announced that he was leaving in June, I said I would look internally for new candidates because I think it is important that we as a company fosters talents and provides career opportunities to our people. Few people have a broader experience from this company than Xavier Leroi. At the same time, it was important for me to pick a person who also follows the company culture and the leadership principles that we hold dear. I believe he is the right person to bring shipping to the next level," says Kristoffersen.
